The homies at S.A. Studios kicked down a copy of L.A. Woman, a book of photographs by Estevan Oriol depicting all types of females in the City of Angels. From crackheads to porn stars, cops and the chola down the street, both familiar and unfamiliar archetypes fill these pages. The book presents a vision that is part illusion and part reality, just like L.A. Check it...
The homie and all around awesome dude J.Shea is debuting a new body of work created by breathing new life into found and discarded objects. If you are anywhere near Portland, this show is a must-see! Info below:

A couple of magazines have recently been spotted showin' a tad bit of some of the collab walls Cache and Eye have been doin':
First up is COG Magazine, a way-cool journal of the fixed-gear community (I think -didn't see no derailleur ads up in thurr...) Issue 8 features a visit to L.A. with flicks of various homies plus a nice shot of our Orange 20 wall.
And de pilón, the November 2009 issue of Details magazine features an interview with Pee Wee (yeah, THAT Pee Wee!) parlayin' it in front of a wall Cache, Kofie, and Eye painted on Sunset Blvd last year.
I'll be showing some new stuff at Hold Up Art's opening exhibition This Hits Official featuring works by Kofie, Eyeone, David Flores, Jeff Jordan, Codak, + more!
Opening: Friday March 12, 2010 | 7 - 10 p.m.
Hold Up Art | 358 E. 2nd St. | L.A., CA 90012 holdupart.com | (213) 221-4585
I designed the characters up top in 2006 for the Zapatista'sLa Otra Campaña. On my old blog, I had been keeping a record of the different interpretations and iterations that I'd found popping up literally all over the world -ahem- and in all sorts of different forms. Digging through my once-lost files, I found these examples (again.)
I just discovered a few boxes of the most recent issue of Lost stashed away whilst digging around my parent's basement. I am making them available for a short time again, while supplies last!
This issue features work by many of L.A.'s most prolific and influential graffiti writers including Yem AM7,Haeler AL/7th Letter, MAK Crew, Atlas CBS, The Street Phantom, Tempt STN, and many more! A full 224 pages of spiral-bound goodness with silkscreened art board covers, signed and numbered.
