I thought I had lost this image of a ball-point pen drawing I did for a show at
Tradition back in 2008 called (appropriately)
Pen At Work. The original is now part of the
Axis One Permanent Collection.

These are my first two 'graffiti' sketches. I drew them circa 1985/1986 after watching
Beat Street with my Dad in one of pre-gentrified Downtown L.A.'s historic film houses. (I think it was
The Orpheum.) I have no idea what the crew I made up (DSR) stood for, but I have my theories...
